I am a thirty-something spouse of an independent filmmaker, based in Philadelphia.  I am a full-time social worker, and my husband and I co-own a small business renting film gear. We are both committed Christians and are members of our reformed church home. This journal is a place where I share the challengings of being a filmmaking family. We are dependent upon the arts for income, while aiming to navigate a non-conventional schedule and maintain a healthy marriage.  Most importantly, we try to be good stewards of the gifts and resources our Lord has entrusted to us.   I hope the transparency of our daily struggle of being pilgrims in this strange land will encourage other families who find themselves in unique life circumstances.

I enjoy fine art, photography (this site features my work), writing, knitting, messing up the kitchen, our cats–Cadence & Greyson, gardening, reading, camping, and road trips.
